Dollhouse Miniature Creations

I love miniatures. There's just something about the miniature scale that invokes imagination and fantasy. As a child I loved playing with my cousin's barbie dolls and miniature accessories until it was taken away from me and I still remember as a 7-8 year old girl hearing my aunt talk with my mom about how they thought I was obsessing too much with them. Fast forward to middle age I am in therapy with the IFS modality (more on my blog if interested) and I came up with the idea that I could build my inner child the safe place she never had as a child and through the dollhouse I could give her the things she was never allowed to have due to financial reasons and the strict religious group I was born into.

I drew up plans and bought tools and wood and made furniture. I started cutting out the main pieces but then with moving and health issues I was unable to continue. Eventually I realized that I don't have the energy to continue building the dollhouse and found 2 free ones on marketplace. They were dirty, falling apart and had mouse dirt all over. I like taking trash and turning it into treasure so I got them and now that I am in a safe place I have been working on renovating them which helps me exercise my creativity and helps my nervous system get into the parasympathetic state which helps one heal from trauma and abuse.

Since my ideas of safety and imagination are so wild I am unable to find what I like so I have been creating my own wallpapers with Canva and AI. This morning as I was eating breakfast I had the idea that perhaps other people might like my creations as well so I will be adding a page for wallpaper downloads to share with others.
